For 2019, we would like to introduce a “Reader’s Village” for our KCPPD visitors. This is not just another Pagan event, or another metaphysical fair. We want you to help us create a special time and place where we can gather as proud Pagans and demonstrate to the public that we are significant. We also want to show off those Pagans that have a gift in card reading, mediumship, and other divinational endeavours.

Venue

The Readers’ Village at KCPPD will take place at the Merriam Marketplace, 5740 Merriam Drive, Merriam Kansas on September 8. 2019 from 10am-6pm. The Marketplace is one block west of I-35 near the Johnson Drive exit. The Merriam Marketplace is a 10,000 sq foot, award-winning, community event pavilion located in the heart of the downtown Merriam historic district. Located in the green space behind the main shelter, we would like to encourage positive, loving enrichment through various types of readers, mediums, Oracle users, etc.

Reader Spaces

Reader spaces will consist of 2 readers per one 10×10 (5×10 per reader) sun-shaded space. No tables or chairs will be provided. Readers requiring a full 10×10 booth must contact the KCPPD Vendor Coordinator first to make sure the space is available as there will be a limited number of spaces available. You are welcome to a 4-hour or 8-hour block. We will have a volunteer available to track time slot availability for all readers.

Reader Fees

All reader fees are $25 per 5×10 space for a 4-hour block plus a donation to a raffle basket coordinated by our Charity Raffle team. A physical item must be donated, with a value of $10-$15, NO gift certificates accepted. The Charity Coordinator will assign a representative to collect your donation item on the morning of the event. Please do not drop off the donation at the Raffle tables, a representative will collect it from you.

If you want to be available for the entire 8-hour day, your fee is $50 plus your raffle item.

Four hour shifts are 9a-1p & 2p-6p. Shift availability is first come, first serve.

Terms & Conditions

ARE YOU A PAGAN? The event showcases Pagan readers and vendors, so you must self-identify as a Pagan.

COMMUNICATION. All communication regarding vending at the KCPPD will be through the KCPPD Vendor Coordinator using the info@kcppd.com email address. If you do not have email access, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can arrange alternative forms of communication.

REQUESTING A READER SPACE. Sending us the Reader Agreement DOES NOT guarantee you a space. First, you are not considered until you have returned the reader fee and the Reader Agreement fully filled out and signed. Second, all spaces are juried and you will be informed if your application is accepted. Once we have received your application and reader fee, we will inform you within one week if you have been accepted as a reader. If your application is declined, your reader fee will be immediately returned. If you have any reasonable special needs, please let us know well ahead of the event so we can try to accommodate you, however, there is no guarantee we will be able to accommodate you.

READER PLACEMENT. Reader placement is done by KCPPD on the morning of the event. Set up starts at 8am & must be completed by 10am on the day of the event. KCPPD will NOT have staff to help you. Once you have your vehicle unloaded, we ask all vendors to park their vehicles across the street to ensure sufficient parking for your customers. If your customers cannot park, they cannot request a reading!

HOURS OF OPERATION. You are responsible for making sure your space is attended by someone during your time slot at the event. KCPPD will not have extra volunteers available to help man your space. If you do not plan to be operational the entire time, please indicate this in your application. We would like KCPPD attendees to have almost the same experience whether they attend at 10 am or 10 minutes before the close of the event.

EQUIPMENT. You are responsible for bringing whatever tables, chairs, cash/change and whatnot that you will need for your assigned time. KCPPD will not be providing any of these things for you. Everything for your booth including merchandise, tables, and chairs, under stock and so on must be kept within your booth space. Please respect your neighbors’ space. Do not force customers to encroach on your neighbor’s space in order to obtain a reading. All signage must either be free standing, like an easel, or a banner hung from your table. You cannot tape anything to the sunshades. Be aware that we generally have high winds.

PLEASE KEEP YOUR AREA CLEANER THAN HOW YOU FOUND IT. Each Reader is responsible for cleaning up in AND around their space by sweeping up debris and removing all trash to the dumpster prior to leaving. Pay particular attention to items like cigarette butts, packing material, food particles, etc. This includes the curb/street behind your booth! Even if you did not create the trash, we REALLY APPRECIATE your help in leaving the place cleaner than when we found it.

LIABILITY. By acceptance of this agreement, the exhibitor expressly releases KCPPD from any and all liability for damage, injury, or loss to any person or goods, which may arise from the rental and occupation of booth space. Vendors are financially responsible for any damage they may cause to the space or KCPPD.

REFUND POLICY. Reader has a right to request a full refund up to 60 days prior to the event in order to give KCPPD enough time to fill the vacant space. The requested refund will be sent out within 30 days after the event. No refund will be offered after this time. As this is a rain or shine event, there will be no refunds offered due to inclement weather or other events outside our control.
